Here I Am


Brian Larter asked what people look like,
So here I am, day 100, Project 365.

I have my father's nose, complete with a bump.
I would sleep with tape on it every night
When I was a kid, hoping it would go far, far away.
I also have a stunning cowlick,
Which makes it near impossible to have bangs,
And was the bane of my mother's existence
She forced me to sleep in curlers
Every Saturday night before church.

But here I am
If you see me you can say hello

I won't bite unless provoked
(or you try to make me sleep in curlers)

My boyfriend's gonna laugh when he sees this
Cuz he knows I hate pictures of myself.
But here I am, day 100, Project 365.
