It's 6:54am
And no one else in the building is awake
Except her
And it's not that she really wants to be.

She can't sleep,
So she's decided she might as well go sit in Starbucks
Where she will meet a man
Who oddly enough,
Knows her best friend from high school.
And she will date this man,
Although he'll never be able to give her what she wants,
Even though she's not sure she knows what she wants herself.

And when she lets him go,
She'll be crying in the subway
And a man will come and give her all his tissues
He will start a conversation and find out
That they live in the same building,
He will walk her home,
And leave her at her front door.
And in just 8 months,
He will get down on one knee and ask her to be his wife.

But for now,
It's 6:54am
